    Default Chinese Five Spice Powder

I just posted a recipe for chicken strips with Five Spice BBQ Sauce. You should be able to find Chinese Five Spice Powder in the spice aisle at you local grocery store (or perhaps it will be with the Chinese foods in the ethnic section). Anyway, if you can't find the five spice powder, I found a recipe for it:

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon fennel seed, toasted and ground
    1 teaspoon ground star anise
1 teaspoon szechuan peppercorns, toasted and ground

Mix the spices together and store in an airtight jar.
