    Default Mittins on a Clothesline

    Mittens on a Clothesline

Trace your children's hands on paper with their fingers together with thumb sticking out. You end up with a mitten shape pattern that is the size of their hand.

Take this pattern and pin it to christmas-colored felt. Then cut around the pattern and you end up with a mitten. Decorate each mitten with glitter glue, fabric paints, little ribbon bows, or shapes cut out of felt and let them dry overnight. While they are drying braid raffia into a clothesline and knot each end. Then take little clothespins and pin the mittens to the clothesline. Add little clothespins to each end to pin the whole ornament onto the tree.
