I know I love Heinz 57 as well.
Years ago when I was in high school I entered a beef contest with a meatball recipe that had a sauce made with 57 and brown sugar and I won 3rd place.
I lost the recipe and my step-mom can't remember it.
They were soooooooo good. They also had sauteed onions and peppers and we served them over rice. Anyone heard of anything like this.
The usual sweet n' sour recipes have pineapple and mine didn't wasn't like that.
    Thanks in advance.

I have searched the internet over for a recipe like it but have never come across one like it. I have a really picky bunch here. My hubby is allergic to peppers/onions and the kids just won't eat them, but those meatballs were great with just the sauce and served over rice. They would make a great appetizer to. I have thought of going back to the newspaper I use to work at and pull an old copy of the article and picture they printed of the contest, but that was 20+ years ago! I just may go over there one day and try anyway and I will post it if I can.
