    Default Asian Spiced Pecans

    (Better Homes & Gardens Recipe)

    1 lb pecan halves, toasted (4 cups)
    1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    2 Tbs soy sauce
    1 tsp five-spice powder
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper


    1.) Place pecans in crockpot. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over nuts & stir to coat.
    2.) Cover & cook on low for 2 hours. Stir mixture. Spread in a single layer on waxe paper or foil to cool. (Nuts will appear soft after cooking, but will crisp upon cooling.) Store in airtight container.
