    Default cherry cobbler recipe

This is a really quick cherry cobbler

    Ingredients

2 21 oz, Can Cherry Pie Filling

1 Box Yellow or White Cake Mix

    1 Cube Margarine

    DIRECTIONS

    In a 9 x 13 Pan pour pie filling.

Sprinkle Cake mix on top of pie filling

Slice Margarine and place slices evenly over top cake

Put in 350 oven and cook 35 to 40 minutes

Remember, on this one you dump everything onto the dry cake mix. You
do not prepare the cake mix first.

We substitute chocolate cake mix for a "Black Forest" variation.
Dump cakes are a family favorite and I often use this for potlucks.
The original version called for a can of crushed pineapple in juice.
You may add coconut and/or pecans or walnuts if desired. Important
to FREEZE to butter/margarine first and shave it THIN. Try to cover
as much of the top surface as possible.
