    Default Cheese Grits

    6-8 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese
    1 cup quick cooking grits
    4 cups water
    1/2 tsp salt

    Bring water & salt to boil over high heat. Slowly stir in grits; reduce heat to low & cover. Cook 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired thickness. Stir in cheese & pepper to taste. Continue to heat until cheese is completely melted. Taste for seasoning. Serve immediately.
