Paw Gifts for a doggy lover!

The recipes uses fragrance oils but I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use essential oils instead. There are some that you will need fragrance oils, not essential oils. The shampoo and soap can be used on people or dogs

    Doggy Shampoo
    1/2 cup liquid soap base
    5 drops Patchouli
    10 drops cinnamon
    10 drops lavender
    6 drops orange colorant
    1 drop blue colorant
    1/4 cup distilled water
    1/4 cup witch hazel

Using a glass measuring cup, combine soap base, fragrance oils, and coloring. Stir until combined. Gently mix in distilled water and witch hazel. Place mixture in the microwave and heat on high for 10 seconds. Repeat heating for 10 second intervals until clear. It may be necessary to skim off any surface bubbles using a spoon. Cool completely then pour into a decorative, labeled bottle.

    Carpet Freshener
    2 cups baking soda
    1/4 cup fresh ground coffee
    1/4 cup dried lemon peel
    20 drops lemon
    10 drops expresso

Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Place in decorative container. Instructions for use: Test in inconspicuous area first. Sprinkle on carpet and let sit for a couple of hours. Vacum carpet as usual.

    "Wash Your Paws Soap"
3 oz. melt and pour soap
    2 drops lemon
    5 drops cinnamon
    2 drops orange colorant
    1 drop blue colorant
    1/4 tsp cinnamon

Slice soap base for easier and faster melting. Place in glass measuring cup. Microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute on high. If all the soap is not melted, continue heating at 15 second intervals to prevent overboiling. Stir to completely melt soap. Add oils and colorants. Stir until well combined. Add cinnamon and stir until well combined. Pour into chosen mold. Cool completely until soap is hard. Remove from mold and wrap in plastic wrap or put in ziplock baggies.
