I've been pondering what I was gonna fix for breakfast this weekend...between the "French Breakfast Muffins" recipe and this one, I'm set.

This stuff is great! Had it this weekend...everyone loved it.
This one is a 'gotta try'.

    Note:
I used a loaf of French bread, but not sourdough.

I used whole milk instead of 1%. (That's all I had, although the 1% is better for you)
And I omitted the walnuts. Hubby does't like them and I didn't have any pecans to substitute.

I was thinking of cheating with this one, When we get our groceries at Aldi, they frequently have thick-sliced sourdough bread for $1.19 a loaf. I think rather than make or buy a french bread loaf, we'll try the ready sliced.
