Thank you for all the information. I've never put mushrooms in a paper bag before. They always get slimy at our house before we can use them. Thanks again for the great tips!

If you use them in cooked foods you can freeze them as soon as you bring them home and only grab a few from the freezer at a time when you need them! Then you don't have to worry about them going bad before you use them. I keep bags of sliced mixed peppers and onions in my freezer and grab a handful when I need them for cooking.

Since I started meal planning and freezer cooking I think i've cut down more than 3/4 of the food waste in my home. This is a great article.

Our food saver is a staple in my kitchen, on my second one and could not live with out it. We are a family of hunters and I seal all of our game, did a mature moose this fall.

Thank you I did not know you were suppose to leave cucumbers & tomatoes on the counter. I always put them in the refrigerator.
