I had prepared too much salad veggies, and after a few days I realized that if I didn't do something about this, the veggies would spoil before I could eat them....so, I put all of the veggies in my food processor, and chopped them up fairly small. Then put them in a pot with a cup, or so of chicken broth, added some oregano, and garlic, and let it simmer for a minute or so, and it was delicious! You could add a can of tomatoes , or any other spices that you prefer. This is a nice change from having salad every day.

I had never heard of cooking romaine lettuce, but now I know that you can.
