Fruit Cocktail Cake

1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup flaked coconut
2 cups fruit cocktail (No. 2 can)


Beat eggs and sugar together. Sift flour, soda, salt. Add egg
mixture and vanilla. Fold in fruit cocktail. Pour into 9 X 9 pan.
Sprinkle top with brown sugar and nuts. Bake 45 min. at 325 degrees.
Serve with whipping cream.
