Enchilada Meatballs

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound pork sausage
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 egg
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 (19 ounce) can enchilada sauce

Combine all ingredients except the enchilada sauce. Shape into 1-
inch balls.
Place meatballs in a large skillet and brown on all sides; drain
fat. Pour
enchilada sauce over cooked meatballs. Bring to a boil; reduce heat
and
simmer 20 minutes.

Serve over rice.

Makes 35 to 40 meatballs.
