Corn Dog Muffins Makes 12 muffins

1 cup all purpose flour
2/3 cup cornmeal
2 tbsp granulated sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

6 weiners, diced in small pieces
1 large egg
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 cup milk

Turn oven on to 375 'F (190 'C). Grease the muffin pan. Combine the first 5
ingredients in medium bowl. Stir together well.

Stir in the weiners. Beat the egg with a fork in a small bowl. Add the oil
and milk and beat all together with a fork. Add the egg mixture to the flour
mixture. Stir to moisten. Do not stir too much. Divide the batter between

the 12 muffin cups. Bake on the centre rack in the oven for 20 minutes or
until golden. The toothpick inserted in the center of 2 or 3 muffins should
come out clean. Use the oven mitts to remove the muffin pan to the wire
rack. Let stand for 10 minutes then remove the muffins to the rack to cool
completely.
