Default Recipe to make your own Sweetened Condensed Milk.

Canned sweetened condensed milk is required in several recipes I
make, but it's sooo expensive! I got this recipe to make your own
from FoodTV. I thought I'd share it with all of you.

    Sweetened Condensed Milk
    Recipe courtesy Paula Deen

    1/3 cup boiling water
    4 tablespoons butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup powdered milk (recommended: Carnation)

Using an electric mixer, blend together water, butter, sugar, and
Add powdered milk and blend until thick. Store in refrigerator for
    up to 1 week.

Most of us have these ingredients on hand already, so it's really
    quite inexpensive to make!!!
