2 cups boiling water
? cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
1/3 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
Separate eggs and beat egg yolks until thick. Add sugar, flour, and salt.
Mix thoroughly. Add boiling water slowly, stirring constantly. Add vinegar.

Cook over hot water in a double boiler until thick and smooth. Add salt and
flavoring. Pour into baked pastry shell. Cover with meringue made with egg
whites and sugar. Brown in 325? oven for 20 minutes. (Mrs. Eloise House,
