Title: Dora's Mile-High Biscuits

Yield: 24 servings

3 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
3/4 ts Salt
1 Egg; beaten
1/4 c Sugar
1/2 ts Cream of tarter
1/2 c Shortening
1 c Milk

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Combine
egg and milk; add all at once to flour mixture. Mix
until dough forms a soft ball. Turn dough onto floured
counter and knead lightly about 10 or 12 times. (The
secret to biscuits is to not over mix or knead dough).
Roll out to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with floured
biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and
freeze. When frozen, put in plastic bags and store in

To Cook: Place frozen biscuits on a lightly greased
cookie sheet and bake at 475 degrees for 12 to 15
minutes or until lightly brown.
