how to avoid the flu

The best way I personally could have avoided the flu
would have been to avoid my germy little granddaughter
when she came to visit. But alas, we both came down
with it the day after she went home. This season’s flu
is a miserable, painful experience and I urge everyone to take whatever
precautions they can to avoid it.

I’d had a flu shot but my physician told
me that didn’t seem to make much difference this year. 8-[
(He also declined to give me a refund on the cost of my apparently
useless flu shot!) Now I am recovering and have spent $100+ on medicine.
(I’m no longer at death’s door but maybe out on death’s porch or in
death’s driveway!)
