I do not have any home remedies to offer you however I am going to suggest you find a dental school near you. You can get the work done for very low cost! My mom used to take us kids to the University of Central Florida's dental school when we were kids for dental needs.

    Hope you feel better!

    oil of cloves
or tylenol and spraying the tooth with throat spray
NOT a doctor but I have a friend who is soo homopathic it is scary sometimes -- but lol she uses fish anibiotics from the pet store -- apparently it IS pennicillian just in a differen dose -- she always takes 1 a day for 5-7 days or so -- I CAN't recommend it just sharing the info though
and my boyfriend and his family insist that wintergreen snuff (yes chewing tobaccoo) will make it stop for days it does hurt at first 'cause the wintergreen and tobacco oils but after a few min. it astops -- spit out the snuff after a bit and poof it works for them -- AGAIN I AM just SHARING 'cause I CAN'T reccomend tobacco either

Check around and see if there's someone that will take you on a payment

plan, or a teaching dental school. Because it's more than likely infected

down to the bone you really need a dentist so you don't lose more than the

one tooth. I put it off for as long as I could too, but I ended up losing

all of my bottom teeth on that side because it ended up being the only way

to get all the infection out.

first, rinse often with peroxide. An abscess is an infection, and this will

help. Several years back I went through the same thing.....no insurance, no

money, no way to see a dentist. I will tell you everything I did, but of

course I am not recommending it, but it did work for me.

I rinsed probably 10 times daily with peroxide. I drank only warm tea and

water, nothing too hot and nothing cold. Clove oil helps with the pain, as

did double doses of aspirin....plain old aspirin. As the warmth and

peroxide brought the abscess to a larger bump, I actually pushed against it

with my finger. Hurt like crazy, but alot of the fluid, blood and pus came

out. It lessened the pressure and the pain tremendously. When I took the

aspirin, I found that following that up with an antiseptic mouthwash held in

over the spot, a mouthful, held for at least five minutes, really numbed the

area up and gave the aspirin a chance to kick in. I had antibiotics in the

house, because I took tetracycline around my period to help with breakouts.

I used that, double doses for a week. It cleared it up, along with the

other things. Like I said, I am only telling you what worked for me, I

don't recommend it. If there is a dental school anywhere nearby, call them.

Many have a sliding fee and can help you. I've been there, it really

smarts. Sending good thoughts to you!

I was a dental asst for 20 yrs. Orijel and the like work best if

placed in the tooth, not on the gum, and are only a temp fix. Cloves

have the active ingredient of those items also. The only true fix is

either a root canal (which is very exp.) or extraction which generally

runs $100 or so. You may have to be seen first for a diagnosis and an

xray which will prob. be about $75. Check your area for a free

clinic. You can try to alternate ibuprofen (Motrin)800mg and

acetimenophen (Tylenol. This way you are taking something about every

    2-3 hrs.

You need to see a dentist. If you are in that much pain, you are way

beyond what a home remedy can do. Do you live near a major city? A

lot of major cities have dental schools that have clinics that are

EXTREMELY cheap. I live in San Francisco and they have a great student

clinic and the last time I went they charged me $30. They will even

bill you if you don't have money. Even if you have to drive a couple

of hours, it would be worth it. It really sucks being in pain. Good

    luck.

Try Baby Ambesol, you have to buy it at the store. Worked for us.

Any dentist I've ever known will give a payment plan; even just a few

dollars a week. Don't be afraid to ask.

Are you near Chester, PA? There's Saltz Dentistry-they're great & much less

    than other dentists.

We drive over an hour to go there; and we have insurance & still can't beat

    their prices.
