Between now and Sunday, wrap her head in a plastic baggie after covering her hair with the thickest, cheapest conditioner you can find. Slather it on so thick that the living critters must suffocate. Leave it in for hours on hours and it will help to make the glue that holds the eggs on the hair soften so when you start to blow dry and comb they will fall out and be able to be pulled out easier. This will also keep them from jumping on anyone else. You'll have to bag up stuffed toys, vaccum like crazy and wash all laundry that you can.

Sunday, do the same thing with the cheap conditioner. Then start going layer by layer, strand by strand looking for nits to pull out. You can do it without any chemicals at all.

    first buy shower caps
then a BIG bottle of olive oil
every night for ten dayshave the people in the home affected or who sleep near the person sleep with their hair coated in olive oil with a shower cap on
every morning rinse with dawn dish soap and rewash with dandruff shampoo
then start picking nits as the bed linins are being washed
my dd with long hair I took and cut each hair with an egg or nit on it -- took nearly 4 days to get ALL of them but her hair is still long and the cut ones are nearly invisable
spray your beds floors and furniture everyday with lysol spray and wait 10 min and vaccume
remember these things can hatch up to ten days later
and to be safe you should check hair for 2 -4 weeks daily after that to prevent another huge breakout

We had very good luck with Tea Tree oil. It wasn't without picking out all the nits tho!
I bought cheap dollar store shampoo and conditioner. Then bought a bottle of tea tree oil from WalMart (about $5). Mix about 1/4 bottle of oil into the shampoo (28 oz). I also put several capfuls into the conditioner. This seems to keep the little buggers at away once you get your daughter's hair picked through. I use it every day, and when possible let it stay in hair for 30 minutes before washing.
    Good luck!

(but only 10+ kids at home now)

Manyoinesse is good for them put it on her head on Saturday night with a plastic bag covering it.. Let her sleep in it all night then in the morning wash out with dawn dishwashing liquid. You need the dawn since the manyoinesse is greasy.. do not use mircle whip you need true maynoinesse.

You will also need to wash everything in the house and any stuffed animals should be put in the dryer or else baged up for about 2 weeks.

My daughter had head lice just after she turned 3. She is now 4. I

do not have the patience to pick nits out of her hair. That is wasted

time. She could not go back to daycare till all of those little eggs

    were out of her hair.

After trying several things, store bought and suggestions, I went to

Google and searched. I found what worked. First wash her hair with

Coal Tar, that is what is in Dandruff Shampoo. I used Nuetrogena.

Then you place a plastic bag over her shoulders (it will burn the

skin) and pour vinegar over her hair. Cake it on. Use the whole

bottle get it through her hair thouroughly. Then get a BIG bottle of

Coke, not the cheap stuff the REAL Coke and pour that over her head

thouroughly. Make sure that no part of her head or hair has not been

    treated.

The shampoo kills the lice. The vinegar and coke removes the eggs.

Well hey if Coke will clean your car battery why not lice eggs. Then

treat her hair with the tea tree oil, lice don't like that. If you

want wash her hair every other day with the dandruff shampoo. I

washed my daughters hair with regular shampoo to clean it, then washed

it with the dandruff shampoo so I wouldn't use so much. Then I would

condition it with a sweet smelling conditioner.

My daughter had a whole bunch of nits in her hair. I did just what I

wrote and I found 1 nit in her hair. That was it. No picking, or

trying to comb those little suckers out of her hair. They were just

GONE!!! Pretty good I would say.

I check her hair everyday to every other day when I brush it for those

stupid things. I still treat her at times with the nuetrogena and the

Tea Tree oil, just so I don't have those buggers in my house or her

    head EVER again!!!!!

    Good Luck!!!

I used mayonnaise as well as listerine mouthwash even after the treatment of

mayo. It worked. Its hateful to have head lice.
