You are welcome to email me anytime. I am also in some big debt. It's nothing that is about to snow me under. But if anything changes big in my family it sure could. Email me privately if you want. While this list is GREAT at ways to save money in the kitchen and around the house it does seem the debt talk is a little touchy. smcmullen@kc.rr.com

It's hit really hard and we can't even pay our 2 mortgage loan. Talking to the loan officer tomorrow and hoping for a new loan to get rid of all the extra bills and start from scratch again. We'll see. Hope you get back on track also.
<FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color="#000080">I've starting making our bread, hanging clothes out to dry and on those wet days, hanging them in the house. Using cold water for almost every load of wash. Making my own laundry detergent, using vinegar as a fabric softener, making rice dishes from scratch instead of the box(store brand rice a roni), making all the trips I can at one time, which is making a bigcircle. I'm not buying any extras at the moment. I make my own dish clothes, hanging dishtowels, scrubbies, hair scrunchies, scarves, blankets, give as gifts, use myself, and sell on the web. I also make jewelry, nice gifts for others and myself, also to sell.

Getting out of debt involves spending less than you make, so you can send

the "excess" to that nasty debt. There are so many of our expenditures we

can't control, that food is one of the major ones we can do something

    about. Hence the "frugal" recipes.

I went from spending $1000 per month to feed my family of 8 down to $600 and

am still working on cutting it down. That's $400 a month to end debt. And

we eat better and have more food in the house for that $600 than I did for

$1000. This is why the recipes.

Good luck and let us know how we can help - our family is about $100,000

"under" as well - it's scary!!!!

Default Hello, New Member asking a Question???

My hubby and I would like to have another child. We feel comfortable with everything except one expense. Daycare. The cost of caring for a newborn at the center our son attends is pricey (in my opinion). Even with the discount we will get for having 2 kids there, it is still expensive.

At this point, due to the debts we have, neither of us can afford to quit working all together. I am sure you understand that once you find a place you trust and feel comfortable with caring for your child(ren), you are hesitant to remove them. We love the care that our son gets at his current daycare and they do a lot with him, not just that "herded animal" thing that some places are prone to doing. He gets a lot out of it. I love the video link, so we can peek in throughout the day. If we could at all afford
it, one of us would just stay home, but that is not currently feasible.

Any suggestions? Realistic ones please. I am currently working on taking pictures of items to list on Craigslist and eBay to sell. Make extra money even while we are TTC. Bank it for the future.
