Default Meatloaf Recipe?

    I used a pre-made mix for meatloaf (WildTree Herb's Better Than Mom's

Meatloaf mix) & my family went ga-ga for the results. Since I can't

buy this mix everytime I make a meatloaf (WAY to $$!!!) I was hoping

someone might have a comparable recipe (I checked the archives and

couldn't find one; seached the Budget101 website too). The mix had

oatmeal and some spices; I had to add 2 lbs ground meat, soy sauce,

    egg, milk, ketsup/chili sauce.

    Thanks so much!

For seasoning and holding together the meatloaf, we use stuffing mix. You can change the flavor of the meatloaf by what stuffing mix you use.

    Default Meatloaf Recipe?

I use this simple recipe for meatloaf and everyone loves it.

    1-2 pounds of ground beef

1 8oz block of cream cheese for every 1 pound of meat

1 egg for every 1 pound of meat

1 packet either onion or vegetable dry soup mix per 1 1/2 pounds of meat

Let the cream cheese soften up either on the counter or in the microwave then mix everything together. (By hand works best and kids LOVE to help) Bake for about 45 min at 400 degrees or until you see the top start to get slightly browned.

I have never tried it because I don't care for cornmeal. But I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.
