The hot dog buns are wonderful to use to make garlic bread. Just

spread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with garlic powder. I

usually add just a bit of onion powder to mine, too.

Hamburger buns are a good base to make mini-pizzas. Just spread

pizza sauce (or tomato sauce and sprinkle on Italian seasoning), add

cooked meat toppings, veggie toppings, and cheese. Then place in the

oven until bubbling and cheese is melted.

Hot dogs can be frozen for later, or cut up and added to pasta

dishes, casseroles, mac & cheese, used in "helper" style dishes

instead of the meat called for.

BLTs on the Hot Dog buns, Sausage & Peppers work also. Hot Dogs in baked beans or Mac & Cheese. Paninis in the burger rolls or grilled ham and cheese...endless possibilities!

For the Hot Dogs my kids like when you cut them up and roll with Croissants with a tooth pick. Not sure what to do with the rolls, Other than freeze them

Yeah - I've got plenty. Got a freezer?

I make beans and wieners - open a few cans of baked beans, chop up the hot dogs and mix em in. Put in a casserole dish and top with cornbread muffin mix.

Also Mac n Cheese with octopus. Leave the bottom inch of the hot dog intact, but cut the rest of it in eighths (hard to explain, but you end up with a whole hot dog intact with kind of a fringe bottom.) Boil them and you end up with "octopuses" that can be served on top of mac n cheese. (this is a kid dish - trust me!!!)

Hot dogs in the crock pot with sauerkraut and a can of stewed tomatoes.

That doesn't help you with the buns. Go feed the ducks? Bread pudding? food bank donations?

use your hot dog buns for garlic bread! I used to do that all the time cuz was far cheaper than the french bread to buy! & as for the hamburger buns, use them to make sandwichs of; I just picked up some onion ones today at bread store (thrift) where I got 2 for 1& since Ham was on sale; i use to make ham sandwichs with! yummy! course if you don't like onions, you can use regular buns also to make sandwiches with out of anything including tuna fish! also they will freeze well for up to 3 months!

-Use the buns to make a bread pudding,
-dry the breads and make bread crumbs in the blender,
-cube them, sprinkle with season salt or garlic salt and make croutons for salad,
    - cube the buns and make stuffing,

-make a casserole using the hot dogs,
-make an "instant breakfast" (you know the type with bread, eggs and cheese and a little meat that soak overnight and you bake it in the morning),
-slice the hot dogs thin and use them to make pizza buns a la Oscar Meyer with tomato sauce and cheese,

-or freeze them all 'til you're in the mood again.

Personally, it's never long enough between burgers and hot dogs

When you are ready to use them:Buns can be used as rolls for sandwiches. Tuna salad, egg salad, pbj, hogies, etc. are all good for the hot dog buns. Sloppy Joe's, grilled/melted cheese, lunch sandwiches are all good on the hamburger buns.
Dogs can be put in other food. Baked beans & hot dogs ("beanie-weenies"), mac & cheese w/hot dogs, cut into 1/2 or 1/3s and put in those fridge mini-croissants and baked inside w/slice of cheese, franks N corn bread casserole (see allrecipes.com for the recipe), etc. -- check out supercook.com for more ideas.

Well, hot dog buns make great garlic bread. Just open them up, spread melted butter on them and sprinkle with garlic salt. Broil until starting to brown.

Hamburger buns make great sandwich bread.

All of those items on your list will freeze just fine.

Just throw your buns in an additional zip freezer bag.

BTW - new here. Hi all!

I suggest to anyone that is on a budget and want to save to purchase a food saver. It really comes in handy when you make large quantities of things like I make sloppy joe, lasagna, spagetti, soups and stews and use the food saver which takes the air out and freeze. It lasts in the freezer for a long time. I also do that with items like biscuits, muffins and such.

    Freeze them for later.

If you don't use the buns this summer, you can use them broken up in holiday

stuffing (or homemade stuffing made anytime).

You can put them up on Freecycle. Someone will come get them.

You can donate them to a food pantry.

If the hot dogs have not been frozen before you can freeze those too. Or in a slow cooker or crockpot cut the hot dogs into circles and add ketchup and grape jelly to you tastes.
