    Default Brands of Bread Machines?

What brand of bread machine do you use? Do you like it? Why?

What brand do you recommend? Why?

We are looking for a bread machine, we have owned several in the past.

One we wore out . . . the other we chucked.

    Please, any comments?

I bought my bread machine at a yard sale for $5, truly like new. The box, book, and machine where all there, in excellent condition. I liked it so much, I bought3 more that same summer, all for $5 for my daughter-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my niece. Not all were the same brand, but all were like new with all the items--box, book, and machine. I doubt there is a Saturday that goes by when I'm atyard sales that I don't see at least one. Plus, you can request on Freecycle, or check Goodwill. Mine, though I don't use it as often as I should, is a Westbend. And, I only make one type of bread--plain white, but that's because I'm lazy, and the family is quite content with just that. However, when I'm feeling even lazier, I will buy a mix and sometimes do the Sweet Hawaiian.

<FONT color="#008080">I have a Wellbuilt I bought new several years ago from Overstock.com Greay website to purchase new refurb items for cheap. Mine is a horizontal loaf, which I prefer to the vertical. BTW, I pretty much use my ABM for mixing the dough - then I shape it and bake itin a regular oven.

    I have a Hitachi HB-B201. It's about 10 or so years old!! I've never

had a problem w/bread sticking. It has several options that I can

remove the bread at the dough stage and bake in my oven if desired.

I've made bread and rolls (cinnamon rolls too!!). I LOVE this machine

as I can also cook rice and make jam in it! It's so easy to use, put

in the ingredients, turn it on and 3-4 hrs later, FRESH bread!

    GL in your search!

<FONT color="#008080"> I have a Toastmaster Breadmachine that I bought in 1997. I almost did not buy it, because it cost 79.00 at that time. Hubby had to talk me into it. This has been one of my best purchases ever. I have used it over and over and over again. You can really jazz up a plain meal with a hot loaf of fresh bread right out of the oven/machine. This machine has been a money saver in the long run.
