Default Savory Chicken Recipe and a crock-pot question

I bought the stuff to make cored beef and cabbage but would dearly love to
cook the roast in the crock pot so I don't have so much to do later. Has
    anyone done that? Any tips?

Hi! Love this recipe...hope it helps!
    Sharon
    Corned Beef and Cabbage
3 carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 lb corned beef brisket
    3 onions, cut into quarters
1 head of cabbage, cut into wedges
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 cup water
    1 teaspoon salt
Place carrots into bottom of crock pot. Add corned beef brisket and onions. Mix together water, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Pour into crock pot. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours. Add cabbage wedges to crock pot and push down into liquid. Turn crock pot on high and cook 3 more hours.

My all time favorite crockpot corned beef dish is really easy. Place it in
the crockpot with the spices tossed over the top. You can lay it on a bed
of sliced onions if you like. Then take your pick... either pour over 1 can
or bottle of dark beer or 1 can of coke. Both come out equally wonderful.
And yes the beer cooks off and you don't taste it. It just leaves a really
full rich wonderful flavor. I cook mine for 8-10 hours or until very
    tender.

Yes I have cooked corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot. You just use
your regular recipe and cook on low for about 8-10 hours.
