Dandruff remedy I tried and worked

I used to have really awful dandruff. I mixed a little tee tree oil in with the shampoo. I just squirted some shampoo in my hand and added a bit of tee tree oil to the shampoo in my hand. I used this on me and my dd and guess what we are both now dandruff free for about six months now. I think we

If you have dandruff you may want to consider using a shampoo that

does not contain sulfates. I took this advice after hearing it from a

few live journal friends and found that after one shampoo I didn't

    have flakes anymore.

I have been suffering with really bad dandruff my entire life and

nothing worked. Some products helped to lesson it but never cured it.

After shampooing my scalp would feel tight, I would still have flakes

and as the days between shampooing again went on my scalp would become

more oily and I would have lot's of dandruff build up. It was pretty

    gross.

After I switched to a shampoo that didn't contain sulfate, one shampoo

later and my scalp is in amazing condition. I now don't have any

flakes, my scalp doesn't feel tight and there isn't any extra oil

build up. Another great benefit was my hair condition improved

dramatically. I have great hair now and I love it.

My hair condition also improved to a point where it's no longer frizzy

and it looks great. I can run my hands through without tangling and it

doesn't frizz when I do it.

I use two different shampoos, both don't have sulfates but one

The shampoo I currently use is made by Alba which is a brand you can

find at Whole Foods. Alba has Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate which is

similar to sulfate but from what I read it doesn't penetrate your skin

like sulfate does and it allows the shampoo to foam up. The other

shampoo I use doesn't have any type of sulfate but it doesn't foam up

which takes some getting use to .

I have heard people using conditioner instead of shampoo which they

say takes some time for their hair to adjust to but the conditioner

cleans just as well and I have heard other people using a small amount

of baking soda mixed in with water and then rinsing with apple cider

which does a good job at cleaning your hair but again takes some time

    to get use to.

Just something to consider if you haven't heard of this before.
