    can these be canned after cooking? Pint jars done in a water bath? Would really be convenient. thanks for the article

    Yes, they can be canned, but they have to be processed in a steam pressure canner. You can't do them in a boiling water canner because there is not enough acidity to kill any bacteria. They must be soaked and cooked and then processed for 1 hour and 15 minutes for a pint and 1 hour and 30 minutes for a quart according to the blue book. (pg 62)

    I make huge batches and freeze them in recipe quantities frequently. Cook once, enjoy often!
