Subway Footlong Sandwiches- not so much . . .

I've been watching the news and now see that Subway is being sued by a couple of customers for their sandwich size, apparently they advertise for Footlong Subs- but in all actuality the sandwiches are an inch or two shy of that. So- do you think this is accidental because it's difficult to get

Default Subway Footlong Sandwiches- not so much . . .

I've been watching the news and now see that Subway is being sued by a couple of customers for their sandwich size, apparently they advertise for Footlong Subs- but in all actuality the sandwiches are an inch or two shy of that.

So- do you think this is accidental because it's difficult to get the bread all the same length? Or, do you think it's a clever deception, like the inverted peanut butter jar to shrink expenses by literally millions of dollars per year?

Clever decetion. I am sure the bread dough is not made at each store, pretty sure it is Mfg. at some factory for consistant flavor. Easy enough to get them 12 inches long, then freeze the dough.

I like my "Footlongs" and I've never considered that to be anything other than a cute name, not a legal reference to 12 inches. I guess we need to also recall everyone's feet that are referred to as being a "foot".
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

I think it's clever deception, however it would be very difficult to have "every" roll come out the exact same size, maybe they should shoot for a pinch larger, don't think anyone would complain about that...

If people are so cranky about it, they should make the stuff at home instead and save themselves buckets of money rather than go to a place to have someone else make their food only for the person to complain about it.
