Default OT for some: Teen drivers & crashes

I hope that this is allowed. My daughter lost a high

school classmate Tuesday due to a car crash. They lost

a teacher last month when a teen crashed into him.

Another school lost 2 brothers last week(1 in high & 1

in jr high). They had already lost 1 this school year.

There have been numerous wrecks with teens involved.

My daughter is 17 & doesn't have her license. She's

scared to drive or ride with other teens. What I am

trying to do is put together a teen safe driving

program, but I need to do it as cheaply as possible as

times are tight. I want to get it into these kids

heads that they are not invincible. If you have any

suggestions how I can do this please let me know.

Contact your area police. When I was in high school in the 70s, they

had a film for us to watch. It was of crashes, and before the bodies

were removed, or even covered. I believe the class I was in was the

only one without anyone running to the "barf-room" as it was called

that day. I'm now 35 years past seeing that movie, and I can still

recall some scenes like I saw it just a few days ago. If you wanted

to organize a "safe driving" thing, I'm sure your area law officials

would be glad to help out.

my church group held a showing a few weeks ago for our youth group. it was run by the sheriff's department. It showed fatalities with the people still in the wrecks. It left quite an impression on the kids. They had an age requirement on the viewing also.
