Default Cheap but yummy green bean casserole

I was getting tired of the same old french green bean casserole and had my sister in law tell me about this tasty change.

Buy french green beans when they are on sale (55 cents a can this week at my store). Drain the bean really well and place them in a casserole dish. Mix together 1 stick of butter, 6 tbs of soy sauce, 2/3 cup of brown sugar and some garlic salt to taste. Pour this mixture over the green beans. Place cooked bacon pieces on top and put in a 350 oven for 30 minutes. This is a tangy sweet change to your same old green bean casserole

    Wow, this -is- different.
Hubby loves green beans, but doesn't like the traditional green bean casserole. This sounds like something he may like. Gonna try this soon! Thanks for sharing.
