Help with Headlights

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to clean foggy headlights? I read something somewhere once but I can't remember what it was. My headlights are so foggy, I can hardly see at night to drive. They have the plastic lenses instead of glass and I can't seem to get them clear again.

appreciated, buy, clean, clear, don, drive, foggy, glass, greatly, headlights, hem, hey, ins, kit, lenses, night, plastic, remember, walmart, wondering, read

I drive a 15 year old Suburban and my husband purchased a headlight restoring kit at Walmart. It was around $20 and it worked GREAT. I cannot believe the difference in the brightness of my lights. Much cheaper than new headlights, right?? Shelly

I do have a solution. My husband bought a restoring kit at Walmart for

around $20 and it worked like a charm!! My Suburban is 15 years old. I

can see so much better now.

Hi Shelly. Please explain how this kit your hubby bought works. I was

reading Kay's post and realized I have the same problem she does. I

drive a 1999 Ford Escort, would this kit work for me too? Have a great

    weekend. Lana J

I honestly do not know how it worked. My husband did it one day very quickly(few minutes).I do know he bought it at Walmart, but he told me he has seen it at Auto stores also. I think it is wipes or something like that. It really worked!! I have 15 year old headlights that work like new. Shelly

Pop it off, and clean it using an anti-fog cleaning eye glass spray, or

    shaving cream.

If it's still foggy after that, you may have to replace the cover.
