    Default Help Needed with Toaster

    Hi all!

Hoping someone out there can help. I bought a Black &
Decker VersaToast toaster from Good Will a few months ago. It’s not
working properly but I’m hoping to figure out what’s wrong rather
than just junking it. When you hold down the plunger, the elements come on and
it heats up. The only problem is that the toast doesn’t stay down. As
soon as you let it go, it pops back up. Any ideas as to what might be wrong
    with it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

We had a toaster start doing that a while ago after it over heated.

It never stayed in place again. Maybe try unscrewing the bottom and

seeing if there's a latch out of place? Make sure it's unplugged, of

    course!

Does Black & Decker have a repair manual online? Have you tried their 1-800 customer service number? It may be worth repairing. You can always ask. If all else fails, you can still toss it.
