Butter Toffee Crunch

2/3 cup butter or margarine

1 tablespoon corn syrup

hot water

1 cup sugar

1 2 1/4 ounce package sliced almonds

Place butter in microwavable 2 quart bowl. Microwave at High 1 minute or

until melted. Stir in corn syrup, 2 tablespoons hot water and sugar.

Microwave at High 4 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Add 1 tablespoon hot

water; stir to combine. Microwave at High 1 minute. Stir in almnds.

Microwave at High 2-3 minutes, until light caramel in color. Pour onto an

ungreased baking sheet. Spread out candy. Cool until set. Breat into

pieces. Store in airtight container. Makes about 3/4 pound.<FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size="1">
