    Default Window energy savings idea

I paid to have these fancy special windows for energy conservation when
remodeled, what a joke!! I ended up buying the thin silver bubble wrap
type insulation, cut it bit bigger than window, and stuck them on with
strong Velcro type fastener. The curtains do a nice job hiding the silver.

(The Velcro was added after I realized we probably would have a few nice
days. ) Knocked off at least $50.00 every month during the hot months,
and that was before the huge raise in cost of our energy. Texas has at
least 7 months of brutal hot weather a year. Harder to tell how much
savings in winter, cause we don't have long periods of temperatures
    below freezing.
