Zicam- Budget101 Discussion List

I started a new thread, insteadof continuing the other one. I like Zicam, but I like it best when you "catch" the cold before it is a full-blown cold. Maybe someone else has a different opinion. Good luck! -- Monique

There was a huge write up in the local paper a few weeks ago by

various local Dr's warning people about using this product. There was

a list of problems but the main one being the product causing burns or

ulcers inside the users nose. I work at a local health dept and you

would not believe the clients we have had come in cause of burns

inside their noses from this product. From the article in the paper, I

believe the user may have used it more than it is suppose to be used

or over a longer period of time that that is recommended. Please be

    careful using this.

I had that happen to me. I used it once and it felt like my sinuses were on fire! It has been 3 years now and I still cannot smell. My suggestion, don't use Zicam. Find an alternative to fight off a cold like taking vitamin c.

I was at the drugstore yesterday. There is also a liquid. I remember using Zicam samples, but it was a liquid that you take with a spoon - not a spray. So, yes, there are different formulations.
