Anyone Enter Sweepstakes and Win?

Hello, I'm thinking about entering sweepstakes on a regular basis. I'm wondering of some good sites and if anyone here is into them? What have you won? Thanks, Tammy Check out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007.

My husband and I beong to Club Pogo, a game site. My husband won $748 once. He also wins regularly at instant lottery games, but not the regular lottery. He is just lucky as I never win. My advice is to not gamble more than you can afford to lose and consider it lost money. If you win it will be great but the chances of winning are not very good compared to what it will cost to enter. Even a "free" sweepstakes costs money for stamps, envelopes, etc. If you cannot afford to use a dollar bill to light your cigarette then perhaps a more sure way is to save the money. Gambling can be very addictive like smoking and can cost a great deal of money each year.

A couple of summers ago I got a phone call saying I had won a trip to

Florida. Turned out to be on of those time-share advertising thing. We

went anyway and had a good time. It saved us some money and we were in

need of a vacation. We just had to sit through the time-share spiel

twice, once in Daytona Beach and then in Orlando. We got to stay 3 days

in Daytona in a condo right on the beach and in Orlando we got

attraction tickets for 4. The salespeople can get a little pushy but

    it still worked out great!

My FIL is a BIG time sweeper, and wins often. Three years ago, he

won a brand new Jeep Liberty, and was able to customize it with

every option that Jeep offered, with money on the allowence left

over (they gave him something like a $25-30K budget, the base

liberty was around 18k, so he had enough to use up just about every

available option on it). He's won loads of small prizes, including a

$50 gas gift card he just sent up here to us.

He uses a website called Hypersweeps. It tracks where you've

entered, how often you are allowed to enter, whether or not you can

re-enter it again, etc. It seperates contests by headings of things

like what type of prize it is, whether or not you can enter once,

once a day, once a month, once a week, etc.

It's free for the first 2 weeks, I think. After that, it used to be

around $25 for the year, if you pay for a year in advance.

Otherwise, I want to say it was like $5 a month. I was a member for

about 6 months, but lost interest when I just wasn't able to win

    much.

I did get a $100 cash prize from GM Cereal, and a few small things

like key chain conselation prizes, etc. The $100 was nice, but the

rest was just eh. It can take up a lot of time, if you let it. My

big contest draw was trying to win a trip to Disney. I still do

enter Disney contests, but I don't do the big time sweeping anymore.

I am an avid sweeper. . . Over the years I have won many things

    including...

    ~free gas for a year

~a trip for 4 to disney including hotel, car and park tickets

    ~$200 spa certificate

    ~numerous shirts, clothing items, etc

and most recently, this past July we won a trip to the Red Carpet

    Event for the emmy's.

The site I use (and I think I've tried them all, lol) is

    http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/

You can track which sweeps you've entered & how many times and see

exactly when the last time you entered. (Which keeps you from dq'ing

    yourself.)

I even post the Budget101.com contests and sweeps on that site (and

so far this year we've given away 5 Food Saver Vacuum sealers,

numerous dvd's, back to school boxes loaded with supplies, and more),

    In all, about 45-50 winners.

Although you can enter many, many sweeps for free, I prefer to pay

for the premium membership, which is $30 a Year.

It's alot of fun and the more you enter, the more you win.
