Default I went to sams yesterday and bought a bag of walnuts

I bought a 10 cup bag of walnuts for 10. I think its a good deal and

put them in the freezer thats what rachel ray says to keep them from

going bad. But do I need to split it up and freezer bag them or are

    they okay this way?

<FONT face="Tahoma">I have done it both ways, but I would freezer bag them, just to make sure.

They are fine just sticking in the freezer. I do that all the time. Sams

also has almonds and pecans in the larger bags too. Just stick the bag in

the freezer, then when you need some, just get the bag out, use what you

want, and put close up the bag, and put them back in the freezer. I have

done this for year. works great.

I also do this with the 5# bags of shredded cheese. Just keep it in the

freezer. I do have to pound on the outside of the bag once in a while to

break up the clumps, but it works fine too.

<DIV dir="ltr" align="left"><SPAN class="441441914-12112007">They are fine. I imagine they are already shelled? If not, they should of been before they went into the freezer. They don't 'stick' together - so you can measure out directly from the bag what you need, then immediately return it to the freezer.
