Default How to feed a family of 4 or more

I was reading the "How to feed a family of 4 or more for Less than $200 a month by Lisa Burnell on the Buget101.com site and I need some help.

    My question is:

Does anyone knows what "Loss Leader Purchases" mean? She says to take out .00 for Lose Leader Purchases is this for bargain shopping?

Lovely Lady, In response to what Loss Leader Purchases are. It is those fantastic items that the stores advertise and sell below their cost to entice you into the store so that they hope you will buy other items too.

    Example: Chicken legs .29 lb.

I hope that my description helps you.

Lovely Lady, I have seen systems like are mentioned here work for alot of people. We have some dietary restrictions such as no white sugar or white flour and low fat, so our groceries do cost a little more. We also do not have an Aldi's near us which I have heard saves people alot of money too. I shop at Super WalMart for my groceries. You can use coupons there and although I do not usually do this, but they will even match other stores prices on the groceries if you show them the ads from the other supermarkets.

Good luck on keeping your grocery bill down.

I have a friend who worked for a grocery store and they told me the front and back pages of the weekly grocery ads are usually the best loss leaders. Just an FYI. I usually find this correct.
