Carpet cleaners - KoolAid stains

I had a horrible dark stain in my car once and Vivid color-safe bleach spilled en route to the laundromat - it took the stain out propmptly!! I had tried several products before and had just given up on it ever being clean. Like everything else, test on an inconspicuous area first for

OxyClean and water mixed equally will get the kool aid stain out and go through
to the foam too. So the stain will not resurface.

I recently had very good luck getting rust out of a light pink carpet
with fresh lemon. It was from a visiting dog's urine that I did not
see for a while until the bed was moved and the metal feet had
rusted. It had been there a while and I was sure there was no getting
it out. I checked on the internet for a stain remover and hit upon
the lemon idea. I thought "nothing ventured, nothing gained". I cut
the end off a lemon and used it like I would a rag to clean with. I

kept at it and kept blotting with a towel. You would never know there
had been a stain there. You might want to try this. I was totally
    amazed! Grandma D.

    RE: Budget101.com : carpet cleaning

For a quick spill clean up, you can use Windex (or a generic brand) and spray it on the stain, getting it pretty wet than blotting it up. I discovered this when hubby stepped in poo and tracked it all over the house. It wasn't funny, but it was because he kept complaining that he was smelling poop than he would turn around and there was another spot of poo on the floor. I didn't catch it till he knelt down to spray a spot on the stairs and saw the offending compound on his shoe :O
