Default what to do with old soap

A small tip I found in a magazine a while back...when your soap gets real small, put it in a baggie, then when you have a lot of small soap, soften it all in a pot and mush it together into one large piece of soap, doesnt save too much money, but you get an extra bar of soap out of it

Piggy Re: what to do with old soap

What I do with soap slivers is "glue" to the new bar of soap I'm using. When I'm through bathing and the soap sliver is pliable, and the new bar is covered in soap foam I press the soap sliver onto the new bar smoothing the edges to the shape of the bar. Doing this keeps the sliver from catching on the washcloth and tearing off. Put the new bar back in the soap holder. The next day, the soap bar is dried and ready to use. Rarely have I ever had the sliver separate from the soap bar. This is way less messy and stretches your pennies just a little further.
