If she has light color hair, I recommend something called Manic

Panic. It can be found at Sally Beauty Supply. It's a semi-

permanent, washes out within a week or two.

Now, the thing with Manic Panic is that the more often you use it,

the longer it will last. So, the first time, it might only last a

few days. It washes out easily bit by bit when she showers.

It comes in a small jar, and you'll want a brush (they look like a

long handled, short bristled paint brush) to "brush" it iinto her

    hair.

You could also get the spray's, but they wash out immediatly.

Sallys normally has stuff like that. I would use a red hair gel

before red dye. but red does not wash out like other colors it grabs

the hair and even if they consider it a temporary color will always

    leave red behind!

My nieces have used every shade of kool aid to color their hair. I
never asked exactly how they do it or how long it lasts, but I am sure
you can find something on the Internet about it.

Depends what type of red your looking for. If it's more of a funky red than say auburn, try a package of unsweetened kool-aid. I think they are less than $0.25. The color doesn't last for that long either. Jeanne

    Melissa,

A few years back (2-3), the "Goth" high school kids in our area would

use a "koolaid base" tint on their hair because it wasn't suppose to

be permanent. Don't know for use if it is or not! My boys aren't into

that kind of thing. Try a Google search on the web and see what you

can find. Otherwise there are non-permanent hair colors you can buy

from beatuy supply houses, salons, and may even the grogery store.

a permanent hair color on her, so I was wondering if anyone was

She leaves tomorrow for camp so any quick answers would be great!

    Thanks!

Herbal Essence does a temporary hair color that lasts for about a

month. You could also use something like "Spikerz" or "ColorHeads"

which are colored hair glues that wash out. You can probably find the

    latter in beauty supply stores.

    Good luck!

coolaid (*the kind you add sugar to).. heat water up about 2 cups worth add in the koolaid .. once it cools apply to hair OUTSIDE drips stain .. let sit for as long as you can .. you&#39;ll rinse it that night (*use old old pillowcase) then wash with shampoo .. high chance it will still stain until you shampoo second time

    messy but cheap

My son (11) wants his blue, but I won't let him have blue hair for

school. We are going to try using kool aid. There's several different

ways of using it on the net. The other option is to go to the store

and see if they have any wash in colors. I know I've used the tinted

gels and mousse with wonderful tinting results.

I can't wait to see the answers you get on this! Forbidnlover

What about the spray-on stuff? They had some of that

It's a LITTLE less messy if you just mix the cool-aid powder into hair conditioner. Use about 2-3 tablespoons of conditioner per packet, depending on the shade you want and how much hair you have.

When my now 14 yo dd was 11, she wanted green

hair for Halloween. Her hair is naturally very light

blonde. We went the kool-aid route - green apple! -

and got detailed instructions on how to do it - made

the mix up triple-strength, painted it on thick and worked

it through well, left it on for three hours under plastic

wrap - and darned if absolutely nothing happened!

Not even a greenish tint - the minute she rinsed

the kool-aid goo out, it was gone.

So we went to Sally's, and were happy with

    the Manic stuff.

    After reading all of the advice, I was reminded of my nephew, who dyed his black hair red with a temporary dye (I seem to remember it being Kool-aid, but I'm not sure). He came to our home to swim in our HOA pool, & left with bright orange hair! So be careful of chlorine if you want to keep the red red!<FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#CB87FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;"><FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#CB87FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;"><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"><FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#CB87FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;"><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"><FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#CB87FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;">~d<FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#A262FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;">e<FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#CB87FF" face="ArgonThin" size="7"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 36px;">e~<SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate;color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family: Helvetica;font-size: 12px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: normal;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: auto;text-indent: 0px;"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate;color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family: Helvetica;font-size: 12px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: normal;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: auto;text-indent: 0px;"><DIV style="text-align: center;"><DIV style="text-align: center;"><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"><BR class="Apple-interchange-newline">
