Heating the adhesive works most of the time but occasionally you will have extra tenacious adhesive.

If your item is glass or ceramic soak 10 minutes in hot water then scrub with a copper Chore Boy. If the item is plastic just dab any kind of oil you happen to have handy in the kitchen on the glue and let it sit for a 10-20 minutes then rub off.

You will have to wash thoroughly afterward, but WD-40 is great for removing adhesives. It also makes a great wasp killer, just spray the nest from a distance, (via the little straw tube) and they will never return to that nesting site again.

Another tip for getting off that nasty glue on clothes (and everything else) is alcohol swabs! It works wonders!! Just rub the swab over the glue and it just disappears! A very cheap and easy way to clean clothes without damaging the colour also!
