Default 30th Birthday, Unique/Inexpensive Ways to Celebrate

    Hi,

I'm turning 30 in November. Originally, I wanted to go on a cruise but

financial I will not be able to do that. Since I'm not traveling, I

will be at home in Philly. My birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year.

Also I will be on vacation for two weeks during my 30th celebration. I

want to do something unique that won't break the bank. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Kimya

Hi! When is your birthday??? Mine is November 27th. I <FONT color="#bf00bf">ALWAYS celebrate on Thanksgiving Day. Macy's throws me a parade, everyone gets the day off work, we have a nice dinner, family gathers round, it's great! On the 27th itself, if it is not Thanksgiving Day, I take the day off work, do all sorts of "me" stuff. For instance, I take myself to the movies, treat myself to a long bubble bath, take the time to do my nails, watch "chick flicks" on T.V. (or stuff I won't watch with my young son around - he does not understand that C.S.I. is make-believe, KWIM?) My hubby and I go out to dinner (let our son take us). I go to lunch and take as long as I want, since I don't "have to be anywhere", sometimes I window shop at the mall, etc. It's fun. It's my day
and I enjoy it to the hilt! Herlean

I just had my 30th birthday.
Everyone at work pitched in and gave me a gift certificate for a 55 min. Swedish
massage (and my boss gave me the time to go – paid!), my best friend also
gave me a pedicure at the same salon (by chance). So, for Mother’s Day I
told my husband he was buying me a manicure! <font size="2" color="navy" face="Wingdings">10.0pt;font-family:Wingdings;color:navy;">J I spent 2 hrs. at the
spa and it only cost me $23! Very nice – no phone calls, no children,
    nobody! <font size="2" color="navy" face="Wingdings">10.0pt;font-family:Wingdings;color:navy;">J

Hi, I am in Philly too. Check out some of the deals to Atlantic

City. Some of them, especially off season, offer food and cash

back. Go on a bus trip with a group of friends have some drinks,

gamble on their dime and don't worry about driving, I may do that

this year as I am turning 50. Who know, a jackpot may be in our

    future: )

    Happy soon birthday.

What part of Philly, Kathy? I'm in Burlington County, South Jersey, maybe 10

minutes from the Tacony Bridge. I'll be hitting 50 on my next bday,as well. In

January, so at least for now, I can still say its NEXT year lol.
