Default How to clean burned food from a crock pot

I forgot to shut off the crockpot the other day and the leftover sauce has turned into a crusty mess.

    Here's an easy cure:
Fill your crock pot about halfway full with hot water, add a couple cups of vinegar and 1/2 tsp of dishsoap. Leave it on low and let the mess simmer overnight.

Then in the morning dump out the mess and wash normally. The cooker is sparkling clean without having to scrub!

I would suggest not to put your crockpot insert in the dishwasher...causes cracks in the insert.
