Auto accident and a speedihng ticket question

About a week ago my husband received a speeding ticket. Tonight our oldest DD was in a auto accident. She was at a red light at a turning left lane. The vehicle in front of her backed up into her and hit her. We think that he changed his mind about going left and backed up to go right and hit her.

Default Auto accident and a speedihng ticket question

About a week ago my husband received a speeding ticket. Tonight our oldest DD was in a auto accident. She was at a red light at a turning left lane. The vehicle in front of her backed up into her and hit her. We think that he changed his mind about going left and backed up to go right and hit her. The scratches (small ones) on his bumper do not match with where her license plate is. She took pictures with her phone camera. She didn't get a ticket for it. The problem is that I have a friend who is an insurance agent and has been wanting us to switch to Allstate from Farmers Insurance. I gave her all the information and we were in process of switching. What do we do now with a speeding ticket and an accident. Is it a good idea to change insurance
    companies now.

I think if your DD is not at fault for the accident and you are not

having your insurance company pay for damages there, that part of it

    should not effect anything.

The speeding ticket will. Check rates first and see what happens. It

may not be in your best interest to switch right at the moment. I

think insrance companies checks every 6 months when the policy is

renewed, or however long your policy runs, so you may only be able to

keep lower rates for so long with you rcurrent company.
