Default Any financial aid to help pay for travel costs to summer school

Hi! I was disappointed to learn that my son has to make up a credit in

order to graduate by going to summer school. He missed alot of school

for a couple of years due to having an Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Because of medical costs we are short on cash and this will be hard on

the budget. He has to drive almost an hour to the summer school (that

is the closest) and with the high cost of gas we will probably have to

spend about $200 for him to go to school. Is there any financial help

at all through school or anything that can help us here? I would love

to rant & rave at school for not having him get all his credits in at

school so we wouldn't have to do this but I'm sure that they did the

best that they could when he was sick and gone all the time.

Any advice on how to make this work?

    Thanks.

Ask to put him independent study temporarily to get this done

Be honest and tell them that this will be a financial hardship. They may

make arrangements for him to go into class less times a week or

    Teacher/school may arrange online support?

check with catholic charities or the local catholic dioces for assistance . if you kid is in public school -- isn't the school suppose to provide means for tutors ... that is hard ... Can he say the 4 weeks with someone that lives closer to the school and get a job for after noons and evenings to help early his own keep ... good luck

Depending on what subject he has to take, online classes are available.

What school board does your son go to? Maybe call the principal of

the school, councillor or school trustee, what about night school

classes in the fall for the 1 credit? If that would be closer in the

    fall.
