What is best way to get white socks looking good again?

Also how do I clean his dirty baseball camp that he wears doing
carpentry and yardwork?

Christeen, you can wash a dirty baseball cap in the dishwasher, with no
dishes of course. Just lay it on the top rack and run it through.

My son used to wear white socks outside with no shoes on. They were awful.
I used to put them in the washer and presoak with about a fourth cup of dry
dishwasher detergent. They came out sparkling clean. But, I told him he was
going to have to do all his own laundry if he did not stop wearing them outside.

I put socks and a few tees in the sink with 2 tablespoons of powder dishwasher soap and let it soak a few hours in hot water. I put them in the washer and I could not believe the way they came out! Like new!!

I used to take auto grease out of boys jeans with dishwasher detergent. Put the detergent in a jar with hot water & stir or shake til it's dissolved or it will leave white bleach spots. After it's dissolved pour it in the washer after tub is filled. Worked great. I used 1/2 cup detergent.

Powered Dishwasher soap and bleach work wonders as well.
