    Default Outlets and Drafts

For the first time here recently, I noticed I could feel cold air

coming in through the electrical outlets on the outside walls. I

plugged the unused outlets with the child-proofing plugs. I remember

someone insulating around each electrical box, but I can afford to do

that, so I had to use the plugs.

I use the insulating foam pads around the electrical outlets & light switches that are on an outside walls.

The Tightwad Gazette suggest you make the insulators (basically

rectangles of foam with a hole for the switch) out of styrofoam food

    trays. Anyone try this?
