suggestions or websites on how to do this.

    Thanks,

    Default advice on budgeting groceries

    Just a few tips--

    1) keep a price book so you know what is a good price or each item (In

case you see it on sale or discount then you know if it's a good enough

deal to stock up on )

2)If you use coupons, watch sales so that you can combine sales and

coupons--even better if a store near you will double coupons.

3)If you use coupons, it's worth your while to have many---especially of

items you use a lot of. I print coupons from www.boxtops4education.com

and I try to check out websites for items I use a lot or really like.

Many companies offer coupons on their website. You can print coupons at

www.smartsource.com, though I personally can not make it work on my

    computer.

    4) You might check out www.grocerygame.com or www.cutouthunger.org and

see if these services are available in your area. If not, you may want

to pick a particular grocery store (the one that doubles coupons!) and

keep the sales ads over a 12 week period and compare. Supposedly, all

stores run their sales in a 12 week cycle so if you see a good deal on,

say, spaghetti sauce, then you want to buy enough to last 12 weeks until

it is on sale again. I haven not tried this myself though I plan to.

    5) www.upons.com another website that gives "electronic" coupons for

certain grocery stores that use a preferred shopper card. You go to

their website and click on what you want and they are "added" to your

card and automatically come off when you purchase these items or their

expire. I have not personally found any of the coupons there to be ones

I really used, but you might. Sometimes there are quite a few and

    sometimes only a couple.

    6) consider joining a coupon swap --you can find an established one at

www. familycorner.com by clicking on "forums" and then looking for

    "couponaholics"

    Good luck!

I have clicked onto all of the links below and have accounts with all of

them. BUT, when I click the coupons on www.boxtops4education.com it NEVER

prints out these peticular coupons does anyone know why? Does it have

osmething to do with "cookies"? If so, I do not know how to get around

this. Can someone help me please? Thank you in advance. Tania

hmm, I'm not sure, but when I went to this site, once I was able to

print with no trouble. The next time, it didn't work so I emailed them

through a link on their website (I think it was a contact us or customer

service link) and they sent me the printed coupons by mail!

That happened to me too and they sent me the coupons in the mail the first

time. The second time they flatly refused to send me any at all in the mail.

    Hi

I can't say I really have a plan LOL. I buy only what is on sale and I

stockpile, so I usually have a variety of food items stored. I usually cook on

weekends for the entire week because I work full time and have a long commute.

Cooking something big on the weekend helps -- a ham, a turkey, a pork roast. All

scraps are saved and then I make a stock on Saturday and use that as either

soup or to add flavor to mashed potatoes or pasta (saving milk for drinking).

We really eat quite well LOL. I just do not buy prepared food or junk food. I

think that is where most people spend that extra cash -- on convenience. One

thing comes to mind though - I do not buy disposables. I've filled my napkin

dispenser with cloth napkins, use rags or newspaper instead of paper towels,

use dish clothes instead of sponges -- so I have that money to buy edibles with

    instead.

I have tried several times to get them to send me them by mail. And for some

reason they haven't done it yet. I have even said I would start telling

people bad things about them. But still to no avail. Tania
