    Default Slow-Cooker Italian Pot Roast

    Slow-Cooker Italian Pot Roast
    Makes 8 servings

    1 (2 1/2 lb.) boneless round roast
    1 med. onion, sliced
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
    1 (0.7 oz.) pkg. Italian salad dressing mix

    Slice roast in half for even cooking; place in a 3 1/2
    qt. electric slow
    cooker. Add onion and remaining ingredients. Cover and
    cook on HIGH 5 hrs.
    or until roast is tender. Or, cover and cook on HIGH 1
    hr.; reduce heat to
    LOW, and cook 7 hrs. Slice meat to serve.
