    Default MYO: Foot Scrub

Foot Scrub (For rough, dry, calloused, or weary feet)

Leaves feet feeling soft, smooth, tingly, and the body refreshed.

1/4 cup (59 ml) ground oatmeal
    1/4 cup (59 ml) cornmeal
1 tablespoon (15 ml) sea or table salt
Essential oil of lemon or peppermint
    Moisturizing cream or lotion
    Spring or tap water

Mix with: spoon and small bowl

Combine the dry ingredients with enough water to form a creamy, gritty
paste. Add a few drops of essential oil and stir again. Sit on the edge
of the bathtub or bench in the shower and massage feet with mixture.
Really scrub all those rough areas and between toes. Rinse and dry.
Apply a thick moisturizing cream mixed with a few drops of either
    essential oil.

Store in: A large batch of the dry mix could be made, stored in a
zip-seal bag, low tub/jar, or tin and kept in the bathroom.

    Yields 1 treatment.

Note: Make sure to clean the bathtub after this procedure as the scrub
    could clog the drain.

Calluses can be a major problem but there is a soak that you can do that helps loosen that dead skin. It is simply 1/4 cup listerine, 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water. It does not make much so you might have to use the smallest container the foot fits in. I had surgery and it left ugly dead skin on my foot. So I doubled the amount and it was a bit too strong but it sure peeled off the dead skin after soaking for 15 minutes or so. A good rough towel will help roll the dead skin off. Then make sure you moisturize. If the callus is really thick you may need to use a pumice stone on it. Please be careful and do not go too deep and hit the soft skin.
